TAUREN

I saw this picture and at first didn't know what it related to. It wasn't until I noticed the name that the resemblance stuck and I find it rather entertaining.
The scars bring focus to the face rather well and coupling those with the expressive green eyes was expertly done. The scars draw you in, the eyes hold you there.
The relation to shaman as you explained in your notes I don't see in the picture very well. It is very interesting with the conflicting red and blue on opposite sides of the subject but I'm not quite sure how that is meant to represent shamanism, if that was what you were aiming to do. I think the strongest symbol of shamanism would be his shoulder guard but with it being mostly cropped out of the image it doesn't display that idea well. I would have liked a bit more of the guard to show there.
The horns intrigue me quite a bit. The horn on his left side starts off with bits of red almost like blood splatter, works into bright blues on the top-ward curve and go to a solid brown on into the tip. I very much enjoy the left horn far more than the right. The right horn seems to mix several of the similar elements a bit too much and has a more layered look rather than color reflections like I believe the left horn is doing.

Overall I find the piece very interesting and I am curious if you intend to do more pieces on similar subject matter. Namely other humanized World of Warcraft races and characters.
